A single star and even that is still too much! We were out on the bikes this weekend and wanted to take a break here. So quickly parked and walked over to the entrance. There we weren't even received with a "hello". The lady who we just followed went quietly. We didn't know if we should really go after that she actually said nothing to us. Well, I thought to myself and sat down on a chair at the table for 2 people. My lady sat on the other. The "card" was then thrown carelessly on the table - again without comment. After about 10 minutes our order was taken: 1x non-alcoholic wheat and 1x latte macchiato. The lady made a note of this and left again - without comment. Another 10 minutes later (no, we haven't had any drinks yet) the lady came back to us at the table and said literally "The boss said if you don't have to eat you go now! We need the table for our lunch". At first I didn't even know what to say to it. Then I asked if it would be possible to sit down at a table in the house - again she said "The boss said you have to go or order something to eat". Then I had no more words and we left without comment. When we were back at the motorcycles, other guests followed us who also didn't want to eat and were "asked" to leave. The menu was very clear and, in my opinion, quite expensive. Absolutely no recommendation for something cheeky! In any case, we will not go back there. May have been an isolated incident, but this rating is definitely deserved.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the food, as we were expelled from the place beforehand. If you are brought to a table that is free for me it means that it is not reserved and that I can sit there no matter how long. After we found out that it was too early for the cake menu, I just wanted to enjoy a latte macchiato on the terrace. Suffering this was not possible ... it was either we eat something or we go. Too many reservations would have been received. I don't understand the logic. A short latte macchiato doesn't take longer than ordering something for lunch. 🤔 For me the first and last visit, money vultures and unfriendly staff I don't need.

Visit in September 2020. Rarely eaten such good game! First-class leg of venison with a very strong gravy, that's how it has to be! Delicious chanterelles with onions and butter spaetzle, delicious! My wife had brook trout fillet with potatoes and salad, also first class quality and freshness!

The service and breakfast were impeccable. Service very friendly and courteous, good selection of sausage and rolls for breakfast, partly homemade and everything fresh and very tasty. The only downer were the rooms. They could definitely use a makeover. Unpleasant stale smell, especially in the bathroom very unpleasant as there is a lack of ventilation. But apart from the smell, everything was very clean.

Unsurpassed in audacity! We thought to have a nice coffee and relax! The menu says: "If you pay on account, a service fee of € 3.50 will be charged"! This is not meant for payment on account but for every payment !! We have received a receipt that says "NO INVOICE". Nevertheless, we were charged the € 3.50. The receipt also says: "The team thanks you for the tip". Of course we have addressed these two points! The service staff couldn't explain what the € 3.50 actually was for, but stated that they didn't benefit from it and that the money stayed with the boss. From my point of view, this borders on fraud! A service fee of € 3.50 for two coffees! Really bold! The Landgasthof Ziegelhütte is in no way recommended!

About 1 week ago we were on our way home after a nice day at the Vogelburg and wanted to have a quick coffee. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and sat down. The service was unfortunately alone and could not come to our table at first. - No problem. So didn't have a card yet. Since I wanted to visit the sanitary facilities, I had to go into the restaurant and only had my mask in my hand, since according to the DEHOGA Federal Association there is no mask requirement for guests. In addition, there was no sign which would have indicated that this was desired in this restaurant. At least it wasn't visible to me. When I entered the dining room, as it turned out later, the boss was eating. I asked where the toilets can be found. After the explanation he asked me in a very snappy tone that I find absolutely inappropriate "You already know that the mask is useless if you hold it in your hand?" When I answered that this is not the rule in all restaurants, I was taught like a school child. As you can see from the reviews here, that's the type of house. A simple one: "Would you please wear the mask when you enter the guest rooms, with us you cannot keep the distance inside" would have been fine. The restaurant was actually empty. The note that the mask is compulsory was on the menu, which we didn't have at the time. Wearing the mask is also no problem at all. But the sound makes the music. Corona has hit a lot of businesses, especially the restaurateurs, that's why we want to support them, but whoever is so rude does not get any support from us. In the end we had to pay a service fee of € 3.50 for an amount of € 6.80 ... We haven't seen this in any restaurant until now! According to the statement of the waitress, this would be due to Corona, probably to compensate for the failures. But there are other ways and means to get guests into the restaurant, who then also drink and eat properly. It's a shame, because the location is really nice!

At 35 degrees after a long bike ride, we were happy to have found accommodation. We found the location and the food OK. but several generations have probably already died in the rooms! Seriously, you can't rent that out !!! There are probably no controls in the area. We are glad we got out of there healthy. There was no alternative for us that evening.

The food was good. I had a schnitzel with chanterelles and potato wedges. The whole thing was a bit dry. I asked the waiter for some sauce and promptly delivered it. My wife had a warm smoked trout with a side dish and salad followed by an ice cream it was all very tasty. A mask had to be worn when entering and leaving the restaurant and when going to the toilet. The waiter was always attentive. He also wore a mask. My personal feeling is that it bothers with the reporting requirement and app and so on but wat mutt dat mutt. We came from abroad because we made a visit to the bird park taunus and stopped there if we are in the vicinity again we like to go there again

Very good food. The operator is exceptional and full of enthusiasm. He informs his guests very well about the products that he processes and uses. A small private motorcycle museum is also on site.

Very nicely located, lovingly decorated down to the last detail, cake super delicious and fresh. Service very courteous and friendly. We look forward to coming back in spring or summer as there is also a terrace. Motorcyclists welcome!

We can recommend the brick hut. The wines ordered and recommended by the boss were very good and the quality of the food was also convincing. The one star deduction must be given, however, because the prices are very high and the rest area is somewhat lacking in the restaurant. Also, unfortunately, nobody came up with the idea of ​​asking if you should bring a bowl of water to the dog. This is standard in many other good restaurants. The menu on slate is a nice idea, but as stated by other guests, much too crowded with the wine selection and a bit unstructured. An extra wine list would be better. Unfortunately, only a small part of the dessert selection was available. You can expect at the price level and ultimately the homemade ice cream is not bad either. Overall very nice anyway and we will definitely be back.
